Cleaning Checklist

End of semester cleaning check-list before check-out.

All residents assigned to the unit are responsible for damage and cleaning fees assessed following check-out. Residents are encouraged to discuss these issues together and individuals can accept responsibility for issued they caused by emailing the office at CollegeVillage@genesee.edu to provide a statement.

 

Bedroom

  • Closets: Wipe down shelves
  • Dresser: Empty, wipe down drawers, and clean top, polish wood.
    • (All personal belonging should be removed)
  • Carpet: Vacuum

Kitchen

  • Cupboards: Wipe down, and remove all personal belongings
  • Floor: Wash
  • Counter: Wash
  • Closets: Wash floor, remove all personal belongings
  • Fridge: Empty, and wipe down. DO NOT UNPLUG.
    • (Everything must be removed from the fridge)

Living Room

  • Remove all belongings
  • Vacuum/Wash floors

Bathroom

  • Wipe down tub, toilet and sinks
  • Wash floors
  • Remove all items from medicine cabinets and cupboards

Hallway

  • Closets: Wipe down shelves, remove personal belongings, vacuum

Garbage

  • Remove all garbage from the apartment.
    • (You will be charged for any items that we need to take to the dumpster for you.)
