Move-In Day Details

Needed to check-in:

Move-in takes place between 9:00 AM -10:00 AM on your assigned day. Please continue reading for specific information.

Important Info:

Welcome to College Village!

Remember to check your GCC email regularly to ensure you have the most up-to date information and avoid delays. Please adhere to the guidelines so that everyone can move in safely and swiftly!

1. You will be assigned a Move-In Time Slot in your Housing Assignment letter .
(This will be sent to your GCC student email 1 week before the start of classes)

2. If you arrive on campus outside of your time slot, you will be asked to wait off campus until staff are available to assist you with check-in.

3. You may only bring 1 car into the CV parking lot at a time to avoid traffic issues. You may park a second car up at the GCC campus if needed while moving in items in the first car, and then swap cars when it is safe to do so. You may be required to move all cars up to the main campus after unloading to prevent traffic issues.

4. There will be time for you to go shopping locally after move-in so you can get additional supplies or groceries if desired.

5. New Residents are required to attend a Residential Expectation Session on Move-in Day in the evening to be informed about policies, expectations, and resources for student residents. More information will be provided at check-in.

If you are an international student or part of an early start on-campus employment, academic or athletic program, you may be required to move in on an earlier date as coordinated through your advisor/coach/supervisor. We advise that you do NOT make travel arrangements prior to discussing it with them.
